The Savage Mid-Tank Mod - Mugen 150cc Tank
A friend in Norway ("Oslo" on the RCBasher.com message board) recently did this Mugen mid-tank mod on his modified Savage, so I asked him if I could post some pictures and information about it.The main components he used are a Mugen #E0815 150cc fuel tank, CEN #FF007 battery/receiver box, Fast Lane Machine (FLM) #45500 servo plate, and FLM #46000 servo mounts. He also made the steering servo brackets from L-shaped aluminum, trimmed about 3/4" from the length of the CEN box for proper fitment, and installed an Ernst #124 charging jack in the box as well. The pictures tell the rest of the story.
I'm absolutely amazed how well that Mugen tank and CEN box fit between the TVPs like they were born there. Fantastic job, Oslo!
