The Savage Mid-Tank Mod - OFNA 250cc Tank
A friend in Norway ("Oslo" on the RCBasher.com message board) recently did this mod on his Savage X so I asked him if I could post some pictures and information about it.The main components he used are the OFNA 250cc fuel tank #19504, HPI Firestorm battery box #100323, and a Tamiya TNX 5.2 radio box. He made the servo brackets from L-shaped aluminum and hand-fabricated the plate under the fuel tank and the one to which the throttle/brake servo is mounted. Check out his nice work!
