Curved Folding Ramp
Unfortunately, I don't have much for details on this one aside from the images shown on this page. It was built by my brother-in-law a few years ago and since then he's made another one that's even better. It's relatively heavy, but this ramp combines the best features of the other styles of ramps in that it folds up for easier transportation, yet it's curved to make it smoother for the vehicles which keeps them get through faster and more stable.
This ramp was made mostly from 1/2" plywood. The driving surface is a simple piece of plywood, the hinge pin is a hardwood dowel, and the legs and ramp supports are plywood pieces that were cut to shape. I'll work on obtaining some details about this ramp and his new one, but in the meantime, the pictures below will have to suffice. They should give you a good idea how it was built and help get you going on your own version.
